Choose Chattanooga is pleased to announce Phase V of ArtsMove. Because movers, boxes, trucks, hotels and gas used to get here can rack up quite a bill, full-time and part-time artists are invited to apply for a $2500 relocation incentive, to be used to cover the costs of moving to our Scenic City.
We’re here to help, and to make your welcome in Chattanooga a warm one. In addition to $2500, ArtsMove recipients get invaluable support from a network of fellow ArtsMove artists. This group of local creatives includes painters, purse-designers, DJs, photographers and chocolatiers, among others. Add your passion to our list, your insights to our community.
To keep things simple, eligible moving expenses include those items listed on IRS Form 3903. Those items include:
- moving company expenses;
- rental of moving vehicles;
- packing supplies;
- rental car between old and new location;
- storage up to 30 days after move-in date;
- mileage on personal vehicle ($0.20/mile) by most direct route from old location to new location;
- lodging en route and on first night of arrival in new location for all family members;
- shipping of personal and household items, including personal vehicle;
- one-way airfare for relocation of all family members;
- transportation of household pets;
- parking charges en route;
- connection/disconnection of utilities.
But the list doesn’t end there: If you identify something essential to your move not listed above, fill out an Expenses Exemption Form to request ArtsMove funds be used to cover that item. This form can be found at the end of the online application.
