Studio Spaces in Chattanooga
Wednesday, October 21, 2009
Could you imagine Richard Serra crafting his colossal sculptures in a spare corner of his apartment? Neither could we. Everyone, especially artists, need a little elbow room to get some work done, and we have lately been receiving inquiries about what studio space might be available for rent in Chattanooga. A few popular spaces include:
Rivoli Art Mill
2301 E 28th Street
Chattanooga, TN 37407
Business Development Center
100 Cherokee Blvd.
Chattanooga, TN 37405-3880
(423)756-8668
Cypress Corners
1601 Gulf St.
Chattanooga, TN 37408
Kathy Wilton, Stonecrest Properties
(423) 267-1900 or (423) 488-9700
The Southern Saddlery Building
3069 Broad Street
Chattanooga, TN 37405
423.280.7182
Additionally, AVA provides continually updated information on available studio spaces on the Artist Resources section of their website where anyone may post a listing for space to rent.
Please direct all inquiries to the phone numbers, websites, and contacts listed above. Know of some other places offering studio space to artists? Drop us a line.
Happy studio hunting!
Thanks for the Welcome!

Since the launch of the new ArtsMove site almost two weeks ago, we’ve seen a warm welcome from would-be and current Chattanoogans. A luncheon on June 5 gave us a chance to introduce the new incentive to local realtors, all of whom we’ve added to our site listing as a valuable resource for potential ArtsMovers.
We’d like to draw everyone’s attention to an upcoming ArtsMove application deadline, quickly approaching on June 25. For more information, visit the “apply” tab at left, or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to ask any burning questions.
A New Way to Make the ArtsMove
Monday, June 01, 2009
We’re proud to announce the launch of ArtsMove, phase IV, and with it, a more comprehensive relocation tool: the new ArtsMove website. Welcome!
A few things to know about this next phase of ArtsMove: we’ve changed the nature of the relocation incentive, making this innovative program a sustainable one, as well. Despite tough economic times, we still think it’s possible—vital, in fact—to bring creatives into Chattanooga’s urban center. Our $2,500 moving allocation is good for full and part-time working artists alike, to help them make nest in a new home or rental.
Our site is an invaluable resource for ArtsMove artists, but also for anyone making the Chattanooga move. You’ll find information on local utilities, services, and arts resources.
As always, the ArtsMove team is here to play welcome committee: please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with questions, or visit the contact page of our site.
